RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer Service Client Support Services team provides 24x7 support of IT hardware, software, and systems in an on-site and on-call capacity for the Amazon Customer Service Center. The successful CS Support Technician will be responsible for utilizing his/her skills to provide assistance to the operations team in resolving technical problems within the Customer Service Center that cover a multitude of technical disciplines.





Position Responsibilities

* Windows XP/Vista/7 Desktop System Support & troubleshooting.
* Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 Server Support & troubleshooting, ability to administer users in an Active Directory environment.
* Demonstrated experience with Linux Operating Systems, Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance Install/test/troubleshoot applications, Image and maintain desktop and laptop systems to standard specifications, Ability to administer PBX, voice mail and/or VOIP systems.
* Basic configuration and maintenance of Cisco switches and routers Holds at least basic understanding of core internet technologies - DNS, mail transport, TCP/IP and network file systems Ensures security procedures are followed and enforced Create and administer clear, concise documentation to lower the possibility of a repeat problem.
* Responsible for the set up, take down and re-location of all PC systems and other IT equipment in the CS site.
* Provide support and learn the skills needed to support specific CS Systems.
* Inventory and Asset Management of all IT equipment in the Customer Service Center Coordinating with corporate-based support groups to implement global IT changes Complete ownership of all IT related issues within the CS site, and effectively communicate with customers on basic problem resolution

Qualifications

* Must have a good understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and have demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
* Must possess superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact with users in a professional manner.
* Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
* Previous experience in which high levels of initiative, judgment, and tact has been demonstrated.
* Proven ability to operate in high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible.
* Candidate should possess superior customer service skills in dealing with users at all levels in a team environment.
* B.S. / B.A. in Computer Science or Technical Related field preferred, but not required.
* Demonstrated experience delivering direct user support in a high availability environment.

* A+ and Microsoft certifications preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

* Standard office environment in Charles Town, WV. The employee must have the ability to move/lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
