IT275 4/13 - 3 Amigos
Globaloria Wow you guys came in super early today! I figured it was about time we updated the wiki photo since nobody but you two are still in the program. It turned out really well. Jeremy is over there looking kind of evil or something. For those reading this blog (if it ever gets read) YES THAT IS THE REAL COLOR OF ALLISON'S HAIR! I just used the extract filter to pull it out so it would show up.

Talk about being on top of stuff! You guys already busted out the timer tutorial and posted it. That was awesome. That will give us more time to work on the final games. As discussed, update the learnin' logs and your blogs. Also work on adding in the other levels of your game since it will be mostly a copy and paste operation. The games are looking really good and I'm not seeing a lot out of the other college camps right now that compares. Time will tell how well we really did.

IT192 4/13 - Project Work Day
IT 192 This was just a day to work on your ongoing final projects. In addition to the previous requirements I have added in an additional program. You are to have at least 1 game of your own design to throw in the mix. Most folks in the past have done spelling games, match/memory games, or a variety of others. Look around and see what you can find.

IT180 4/13 - Mini Field Trip
IT 180 After having a hunk of cake we took a little mini field trip over to the old building and checked out the wiring closet behind the elevator. Lots of cool stuff in there. What was much cooler was going into the server room and checking out the equipment there. Lots O' expensive toys in that room!

We came back and worked our way through the majority of chapter 9 and then headed over to the lab to install some wireless networking cards and usb nics. We will finish that lab out when Thursday rolls around.

IT215 - More Fun Than a Barrel of Monkeys
IT 215

This was a pretty good evening. We worked our way though chapter 6 activities in the lab. Keep up the good work on the online question sets. I'll think about what we are going to do for this coming Thursday. I'm still not sure if I want to meet in the lab, or have one more Skype session. Keep tuned to your email boxes as I'll let you know how things should go down come Wednesday evening or super early Thursday morning. Remember you guys are also going to be a part of the free computer tune up day on the 29th.

IT180 4/8 - Multmedia
IT 180 I think my days are beginning to run together. I can't remember if we watched the second video in the Nerds series today or on tues. It doesn't really matter. I just know we watched it and then spent the rest of the class talking about chapter 9. Although long it it probably the easiest chapter in the book. I wrote some questions on the board for you guys to get done over the weekend. Click the pic for a larger version.

IT145 4/6 Shake Your MooTay!!
IT 145

Wow I'm embarrassed, wait no I'm not. That can't happen if you have low self esteem and/or can't come up with a better way to make people laff than animating a cow shaking its rear end. Yep I went there.....again.

I managed to muddle my way though showing you all some basic photo restoring, how to warp things and make funny faces with the liquify filter, and then how to slice and dice a picture for the web and generate html code to go with it. Your homework is listed in the pic below. Click on it for a larger view.

IT192 4/6 - Make the Case.
IT 192

Although 4.6 on manufacturing by the number of pieces should have been fairly easy I can see that math skills are lacking. You all need to practice word problems. :p I knew most of you would use the case statement just to figure each pricing bracket, so I upped the ante and had everyone set the price structure up on tiers. If you managed to get the original, the addition should be much more than a few lines of code total.

Anyhoo to make the day a little brighter I showed you all how to add a neat button toolbar to your interface. We practiced that skill before wrapping up with you all needing to update the weekends' project for Thursday. We will start our final project on Thursday.

IT180 4/6 - Price Hunting We Did Go!
IT 180

Chapter 8 focused on I/O devices and trouble shooting. We had gone over the RAID info previously with the hard drive chapter. We spent a little time in the lab taking things like a LCD and a CRT apart to check out the inner workings. You guys should by now have emailed to me your answers for the pc builds we went over in class the other day. Make sure your online question sets are up to snuff.

Behind on Posts
General News I know I'm behind on posting things for class this past week. I've been spending my time formating responses to pointless emails. I'll have the site updated shortly.
