Job Description:

A Desktop Support Technician is needed for a 3 day PC deployment project with our client in Charleston, WV. This project is from April 12 through April 15 and work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All candidates will obtain a Dell certified (DCSE).

Duties:

* PC Tech (A+) type work

* Ghost Imaging

* Refresh and refurbish legacy equipment

* Connect peripheral equipment to the network (printers, etc.)

* Adding proprietary software to the computers

To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience performing the duties mentioned. All candidates must also pass criminal background and drug test.

Free PC Tune Up Day - April 29th!!!

Just to let you all know the free pc repair day is coming up. I have scheduled it for Thursday April 29th. I am requesting that you all be there to help out on the work. For those who have not done this I require you to be on site all day 8am to approx 5pm for as much time as your schedule allows. I do not hold classes that day so that everyone can attend for a long as possible and get good working experience. There will be gaming, movies, and pizza to fill any down time.

Grades Updated

*(Update) I have updated all class grades as of 4pm April 5th.

All class grades have been updated except IT274 (just started) and IT1275. I will have those done tonight or tomorrow. Thursday April 8th is your last day to withdraw from a class with a W. By the looks of my gradebook a lot of you had better make some serious decisions. I have a bunch of D's and F's.

IT215 Test Time!

Wow an actual test. I was impressed. All but a couple of you managed to work together as a team during the class and get excellent grades on the exam. That goes to show what you can accomplish when you all put your minds to it. For those who did not join in the group and I know who you are. You better get those tests done before sunday at midnight. That was the cutoff.

IT275 3/30 and 4/1- Pre-Loader

I'm getting burnt out on so many blog posts this past 2 weeks. They don't show up on the Globaloria wiki so for those reading this you need to visit my actual website. I think I have 20-25 (long) posts + a bunch of job listings in the last 10 days. I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. We are working on pre-loaders this week. I don't expect the students to get them posted to the wiki for another few days. I am however having them post the latest generation of their games and get their blogs caught up. Right now with the weather being what it is everyone is kind of in lala land this week. I'll get whip out next week. For now we all need a little break.

IT192 4/1...Case of Beer? No just VB Case Statement

To finish up chapter 4 we went over the Case statement and how it is used. It is a little better to use it then an IF statement if you have a ton of options. It does the same thing as an IF statement just with a little less typing. Your homework is question 4.6 from the end of the chapter. It shouldn't be too hard to get finished before 4/6. We will start in on chapter 5 then.

IT180 4/1

Not much going on today. We spent the first hour of class finishing up the pc budget shopping then we went on to talk about part of chapter 8. Have online question sets up through chapter 8 done by 4/6.

Test Day 3/30

Tests all around! IT180 had their exam for chapters 4-6. Then we went over part of chapter 8. IT192 had their midterm as did IT145. I'll grade work this weekend. No individual blog entries for today's classes except IT275.

	OMG someone please kill me. I want the 2 hours of my life back that has gotten sucked into the abyss that is this movie. I got roped into viewing New Moon. I vowed to keep this site about computers, however I want to save the rest of you from the fate that has befallen me. This movie is such a travesty on so many levels "horrible" doesn't even begin to scratch the surface with this piece of crap. First anyone who is over the age of 15 and not female should never view this film. The story is made for confused adolescence tween/teen girls or just EMO kids who want to cut themselves.
